Ed Mattingly, a third generation paint contractor from Chicago. Mattingly is one of the leading experts on paint and decorative finishes in North America. He is the founder of The No Limits Paint Institute, a paint industry "think tank" and real world laboratory. Ed is an active member of ASID Industry Partners, currently serving on the ASID National Student Advisory Council, a columnist for Decorate with Paint magazine, an active member of CMG, a board member for Supporting the Spirit Foundation, a presenter at Neocon, IWCE, The Annual ID seminars, the Chicago Design Show and countless design venues, and a consultant to the paint industry. Under his watchful eye, the No Limits art department is responsible for an amazing array of leading-edge designs. Ed is dedicated to the independent designer and a proponent of eco-friendly design.

He presents educational seminars on digital-on-demand wallcovering and fabric, faux finish techniques, paint specification, how to work with your vendors, eco-friendly paint specification, etc. Ed's seminars are well attended and highly regarded amongst designers.

Ed lives in LaGrange, Illinois with his wife of 20 years, Kathie and his three daughters, Tess, Jayne and Claire, and their 2 cats and a dog. Family vacations and dinners out with his wife are his main hobbies.
